Lap Steel "Ry's board"
What can I say? I had an odd sized solid piece of flamed maple with a knot on the back, so I turned it into a lap steel for myself. I was going to make a little Wiessenborn copy, but I just couldn’t resist messisng with it. String spacing at the bridge is a very wide 2.5” and required a custom pickup by Pete Biltoft of Vintage Vibe Guitars. Wired directly out, this little guy really sings.
